Mural for Trestles Restaurant

In this project Joey worked with the restaurant designer the general manager and the owner to come up with a design for their new restaurant Trestles in Capitola Ca. The designer wanted to stick with a simplistic modern design. The challenge was the Art Deco traditional esthetic that they had to build off of. With the tiled ceilings, archways and multiple textures this was definitely a hard project to find balance. Our solution was to create a black and white mural with large expansive leaves within the three archways. The intent was to use the leaves to make the space feel larger while adding subtle hints of the outside Capitola environment.
